Rocking Russians

Our state competition was today. Final round: kids talked with groups of judges six times for five minutes each. I loved watching my kids there. After an initial period of intimidation, they all settled down and talked. Judges were laughing, kids were laughing…they really enjoyed the conversation. It makes all the work seem much more worthwhile when kids can actually use their language.

Now…back to our regularly-scheduled programming.

  1. Congratulations! I’m glad that the format segues so well with what we want kids to do: just talk. I’m sure your kids are pumped and you deserve a chance to let everybody realize how good they are. Good for you investing so much that this could happen.

  2. How wonderful. I know your buttons are busting off your coat! Tell your kids that people all over the country were rooting for them and are very proud of their hard work.
